About Teknoman

At the end of the 21 century an army of aliens known as Spider Crabs attacked the Earth. Their leaders were the Venomoid Teknomen ruled by the Teknoman known as Darkon. The Earth's military was defenseless against the Venomoids, and especially defenseless against the seeminly omnipotent Teknomen. The Teknomen are humans captured by the Venemoids that are wiped of their memory and given inpenetrable armor and weapons. Only a mysterious hero named Slade can defend the Earth. He was found by Ringo and Star, two Space Kights. He has the powers of a Teknoman, and uses those powers to help the Space Knights defend Earth. Slade has no memory of his past. His only goal is to destroy the Venemoids who have ruined his life.

Slade quickly defeats the first Teknoman called Gunner. However, the second Teknoman called Saber is not as easy to defeat as Gunner. Slade sees Saber and realizes that Saber is his brother. Slade does not want to fight his brother, but his brother is no longer a human. He is a Venomoid who wants nothing more than to kill the rebel Teknoman Slade, despite their relation. Slade's battles are short because if he stays in Teknoman form for over 30 minutes he will become an evil Venemoid. The constant thought of turning on his friends always lingers within him, causing him to never fight his best. Saber eventually destroys Slade's transformation crystal. But Maggie and Mack, two Space Knights, create a robot that utilizes the pieces of the crystal to transform Slade. Slade becomes depressed, worrying about what he might do if he ever transformed for over 30 min.

The military creates it own Teknoman, who is arrogant and thinks of Slade as nothing more than a Venomoid monster. The military captures Slade and he becomes even more depressed. Unfortunately, Saber quickly and easily defeats the military's Teknoman. Ringo takes a second Teknoman suit made by the military, but knows he is not strong enough to defend the base for long. Ringo needs Slade's help, but Slade refuses to transform, saying he's nothing better than a Venomoid monster who could turn on his friends at any minute. It takes a long lecture from Star, who he has feelings for, to teach him that his true nature is not that of a Venomoid, but that of a human. Slade transforms and saves the base...for now.

Slade's sister, Shara, who had been in a transformation chamber with the Venomoids, escapes and searches for Slade. When she finds her brother she is very weak and close to death. Slade suddenly remembers his history at the sight of his sister. He and his family were on an exploration mission far from Earth. They came upon a strange ship and boarded it to see who, or what, was on it. The were attacked and put in transformation shells to become Teknomen. This was how the Venomoids learned of Earth and where the Teknomen came from. Much of the crew did not survive the process. Slade's father was rejected by the process, and with his remaining strength freed Slade. Slade left the ship on an escape pod and that was how Star and Ringo found him.

Saber fiercely attacked the Space Knights base to force Slade & Shara to come out and fight. However, Slade was busy trying to stop General Gault, leader of the military, from firing a missile that would destroy the Space Ring where many of the Venomoids were, but would take much of the Earth with it. Three new Teknomen also arrived to destroy Slade and Shara. Ringo went out on his ship, the Blue Earth, to distract Saber. He was shot down and crashed. Shara used her last ounce of strength to transform and defend the Space Knights while they waited for Slade. Just as Slade was returning he saw Shara self-destruct in an attempt to destroy Saber.

The rest of the Space Knights split up and were given the coordinates of their new command center. They did not know where Ringo was, or if he was even alive. Slade was missing and they could not tell what the effects of his sister's death would be...

This is where the American show ends.
