This is a short introduction written by Marella Petilo:
It's about a girl named Yuuki Miaka, her friend Yui-chan, and a book called "Four Gods of Heaven and Earth." Miaka and Yui-chan are both trapped in the book and forced to fulfill a legend that forces them to become deadly enemies. The book starts to explain that the four gods are the four directions (north, south, east, and west). Each direction has 7 constellations....these constellations are the protectors of their perspective direction. Miaka is the protector of the South and is called Suzako no Miko. She must find her senshi by looking for a distinguished red mark somewhere on their body. Also, each of them are named after a constellation. When all of them are found Miaka will be able to grant any wish she desire and call upon Suzako the protector of the south who is a red looking peacock.
