Dr. Slump is a series by Toriyama Akira, the one and the same creator for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. The series started out in 1980. Arale Norimaki is an android created by a "genius" Senbei Norimaki, who is hopelessly in love with Midori Yamabuki, Arale's junior high school teacher. He creates her, and, claims that she is his 13 year old little sister. She has superhuman strength, and is known to imitate an airplane as she runs to wherever she needs to go. She has the simplicity of a child, and love to run through police cars (reason unknown). Her friends, Akane Kimidori, Tarou and Piisuke Soramame, and Gajira (aka Ga-chan) share a daily dose of adventure in their small village known as Penguin Village, on Gengorou Island.
